Here at The Pulse, we’ve set out to do something completely different: to provide Pensacola and the Gulf Coast with a locally-owned, independent source for news, commentary, and more. We involve only verified facts and refer to trust resources to provide you with quality content, as well as listen to your comments and suggestions. We are always open to something new, for example, we involve the best writing services and take comments from people who are directly related to a particular event or circumstance.
Our loyalty has always been, and will always be, with our readers. Adopting a community-supported model will keep it there.
If you’d like to support our work, there are three ways to do it:
Become a patron on Patreon.
With your support, we’ll be able to bring on additional staff, providing us with more resources to uncover, investigate, and report the stories that matter. Patreon supporters get access to our Community Focus Group, which we’ll use to help us decide what issues and stories deserve our resources. Supporters who pledge $3 or more per month also get cool stuff like bumper stickers, hand-crafted mugs, and historic photo books as a token of our appreciation.
If you value what we provide — fearless, fiercely independent, community-driven reporting with local ownership — becoming a patron via Patreon is the best way to support our work.
We LOVE local businesses. After all, we are one! If you’d like to support our work and get a little exposure for your business at the same time, we can work something out. But we’ll tell you the same thing we tell our other advertisers: our readers will always come first. Buying an ad allows you to share your brand with our ever-growing audience, but it doesn’t buy you influence or editorial approval over the stories we choose to report.
