The Wharf at Orange Beach has welcomed 17 new tenants since November 2015, officials said this week, bringing first-floor occupancy to 96 percent and total occupancy to 75 percent.
“As The Wharf enters its 10th year, we are thrilled to partner with businesses who will contribute to our continued success,” said Kristen Guenther, management team leader at The Wharf. “Each new tenant brings something unique in an effort to best serve our guests as they remain a top priority.”
Calling 2015 a “record-breaking season,” Guenther said The Wharf has received a lot of interest from businesses in a range of sectors, including restaurants, spas, design, and retail.
Nine of the seventeen new tenants have already opened at The Wharf, including Montego’s Caribbean Café & Bar, the Cowgirls Orange Beach bar and restaurant, and an outpost of Loxley’s legendary Burris Farmers Market. Other new tenants already open include Evolve Fitness & Spa, The Orange Grove, Light Up the Night, Sea La Vie Designs, The Wharf Putt-Putt, and Seaside Shoes & Swim.
Eight additional tenants plan to open before June, including six restaurants: Driftwood Bar & Grille, Ronin Sushi Bar & Restaurant, The Blue Chair Bar, Greek 2 U, Villaggio Grille, and Bayes Southern Bar & Grill. Engineering design firm Burk Kleinpeter will also open an office at The Wharf in May, and Oasis Church plans to open a casual worship center.
