In continuing the effort to engage local citizens on the proposed Perdido Key Master Plan, Escambia County officials and Washington, D.C.-based urban design firm Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company (DPZ) will host a community meeting and public hearing to present the draft master plan for the gulf front community next week in Pensacola.

Community meeting:

Monday, April 4 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Perdido Bay Community Center, located at 13660 Innerarity Point Road

Public hearing:

Tuesday, April 5 at 8:30 a.m. at the Escambia County Central Office Complex board meeting room, located at 3363 W. Park Place

The final draft of the Perdido Key Master Plan will be presented at the community meeting, with project consultants available to answer questions as needed.
The workshop will give attendees the opportunity to learn more about the proposed plan and its impacts on future growth in the Perdido Key Area. After the workshop has taken place, the county will develop an ordinance to present to the planning board, which will then be presented to the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners for adoption.

In our earlier coverage, we reported on how DPZ presented their master plan proposal to residents and county officials last year. To view the draft Perdido Key Master Plan, you can download the file here (Warning: large PDF file).
