A political ad highlighting the profane language sometimes used by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is set to air in Pensacola beginning Tuesday.
The six-figure ad buy ad will run in both the Pensacola and Panama City media markets ahead of Florida’s March 15 presidential primary election. The ad was produced by the American Future Fund Political Action Committee, which has run a number of anti-Trump ads in recent weeks.
In the new ad, a television screen positioned in front of a White House lectern shows Trump claiming, “I went to an Ivy League school. I’m very highly educated. I know words… I have the best words.” The ad then plays bleeped clips of Trump using words like “motherfucker,” “ass,” “pussy,” “damn,” “shit,” and “fuck.”
“Donald Trump’s repeated public reliance on profanities and vulgarities to express himself is one more piece in an ever-mounting pile of evidence that he does not have the temperament or moral integrity to lead the world’s greatest nation,” said spokesperson Stuart Roy. “As the ad concludes, Trump is ‘offensive and out-of-control.’ America and the world are watching, and we can — and must — do better if we are to maintain our exceptionalism and global leadership.”
The American Future Fund, established in 2007, is a 501(c)(4) organization which describes itself as a “national issues advocacy group providing Americans a voice to support conservative and free market ideals.” The American Future Fund Political Action Committee is a separate but related entity.
