Alexandra Cousteau, a globally recognized advocate for protecting the ocean and its inhabitants and human communities that rely on freshwater resources, will be in Pensacola next week as part of WSRE’s Public Square Speakers Series.
Cousteau is a filmmaker, National Geographic Emerging Explorer, founder of Blue Legacy International, and was named a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader in 2010. She is the granddaughter of Jacques-Yves Cousteau and daughter of Philippe Cousteau, producers of the pioneering television documentary series, “The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau.”
The event will take place on Tuesday, November 17 at WSRE’s Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the event set to begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Visit wsre.org/speakers to learn more and to make reservations. Reservations are not required, but are appreciated.
